The passenger-side actuator slowly lowers the tailgate, which, when opened, can be dropped and continues to fall without any controlled help. The driver-side gas cylinder helps to close the tailgate. It facilitates lifting and closes the tailgate with a simple movement of the hand.

Made in Australia and Germany, Tailgate Assist incorporates two types of cylinders developed in collaboration with Stabilus , the world leader in gas cylinder technology.
